Tempiful
Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
What this policy covers
Tempiful generates temporary test data and disposable inboxes for development and short tasks. This page explains what information we handle when you visit the site, call an API, create an account, or use temp mail.
Fictional output you generate — a random street, a made-up user, a Luhn-valid test card — is not personal data about a real individual. It is synthetic material for testing. Do not confuse it with data we collect about you, the visitor.
Information we may process
Account data: if you register or sign in, we process your email address, authentication secrets (such as a password hash or one-time code), and basic account metadata so you can stay signed in and use account-related features. If you continue with GitHub or Google, those providers share the identity details needed to complete login; we do not get your third-party password.
Usage and security data: we may keep short-lived logs such as IP address, user agent, request path, timestamps, and rate-limit counters. That is for abuse prevention, debugging outages, and keeping free endpoints from being hammered. We are not building a marketing dossier from this.
Temp mail: to show an inbox, we temporarily store the mailbox address you are using and the messages delivered to it. Message content exists so you can read a verification code or confirm link, not so we can read your life story. Treat the address as public to anyone who knows it.
Cookies and local state
We use cookies or similar browser storage for language preference, session or login state, and keeping a temp mailbox attached to your current visit. Clear cookies, switch devices, or come back later and you may see a different temp address.
We do not use that storage to sell ads against your identity. Third-party CDNs or fonts loaded by the page may set their own technical cookies under their own policies.
How we use the information
We use the data above to run Tempiful: authenticate you, deliver pages and API responses, operate temp mail, enforce rate limits, fight abuse, and improve reliability. Some API features may require a plan; billing details for paid access, if offered, are handled only as needed to provide that access.
We do not sell personal information. We do not rent your email list. We do not turn your temp-mail contents into advertising profiles.
Retention and sharing
Account records stick around while the account exists. Security and rate-limit logs are kept for a limited period, then rotated or deleted. Temp-mail messages and addresses are temporary by design — they are not a long-term archive, and we may purge them without notice when retention ends or capacity requires it.
We may share data with infrastructure providers that host the site, send mail, or process authentication, and only as needed to operate the service. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the service from ongoing abuse. We do not hand your mailbox contents to advertisers.
Your choices
You can use many generators without creating an account. You can sign out, stop using temp mail, or contact us to ask about deleting an account you created. If a third-party login is involved, manage that connection in the provider's own settings as well.
Children
Tempiful is aimed at developers, testers, and adults doing software work. It is not directed at children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
